At The Colonial Theatre, we believe the arts are for everyone.

The Open Door Ticket Program offers free tickets to Colonial film screenings for community members who qualify for food assistance. No one should have to choose between experiencing culture in their community and putting food on the table. This program is designed to make it easier for more of our neighbors to enjoy the connection, discovery, and joy of film at The Colonial.

Who is eligible?

You may apply for the Open Door Ticket Program if you or someone in your household qualifies for food assistance, such as SNAP/EBT, WIC, free or reduced-price school meals, or another food assistance program.

For this program, “household” refers to the people who live with you and with whom you usually purchase and prepare meals.

How it works

Once approved, participants may request free tickets to eligible Colonial film screenings throughout the year. Tickets are subject to availability and may be requested through the box office.

This program currently applies to film screenings only and does not include live performances, fundraisers, rentals, or special events unless otherwise noted.

How to apply

To apply, please complete the form below. The application is short and confidential.
