A Spring Campaign to Prepare The Colonial for Opening Night
As we prepare to welcome audiences back for the season on May 2, we’re inviting our community to help us keep our theatre comfortable, functional, and beautiful — from backstage equipment to accessibility and audience comfort.
Together, we’re raising support for a list of practical improvements and program needs that help make every show possible.
Every gift of any amount helps us raise the curtain on another unforgettable season.

Make a flexible gift to support the Raise the Curtain campaign wherever it’s needed most. General Fund contributions help us complete projects, respond to unexpected needs, and ensure the theatre is fully prepared for opening night.
Backstage & Artist Support
Drum Kit – $4,000
Provide a professional in-house drum kit so touring artists can perform with world-class sound without traveling with bulky gear.
Stage Lighting Refresh – $2,000 (FULLY FUNDED!)
As we prepare for a brand new LED lighting system upgrade in 2027, help us by switching out some of our aging lighting instruments to keep 2026 shining bright.
Audience Experience
Lobby Refresh – $5,000 ($100 Raised!)
Paint and refresh concessions and lobby spaces to create a welcoming experience for every visitor.
Facility Improvements
Concessions HVAC Unit – $8,200
Replace an aging mini-split to keep the concessions area comfortable during busy events, summer and winter!
Deep Cleaning – $1,000
Prepare the theater for opening night with a full facility cleaning.
Technology
Adopt the Projector – $400/month, $3200 full season ($500 Raised!)
Help power our cinema programming.
Community Access
Accessibility Services – $1,500 (FULLY FUNDED!)
Support captioning, assistive listening, audio description, and other accessibility tools.
Community Tickets – Average $10 per ticket ($100 Raised!)
Provide free SNAP/EBT film tickets so everyone can experience the theater.
