Presented by The Bethlehem Historical Society: Join a cast of professional actors from the New York Times and Boston Globe-applauded Shakespeare in the Valley as we kick off the Birthday Weekend at The Colonial Theatre with a world premiere play created just for Bethlehem’s 250th Anniversary!
The plot: It is Thanksgiving 1859. Two couples, all friends who work in Bethlehem’s Sinclair Mill, feast and celebrate in the Gale River Settlement. By the end of the night, one of them is dead. What happened? Whodunnit? The mystery around these questions enshrouds the events to this day. Created by Emmy-nominated producer/director/writer Donna Devlin, “The Ox Pasture Incident” mixes elements of true crime drama, historical places, and people from Bethlehem’s past with the award-winning troupe’s signature farcical, melodramatic flair and audience interaction. In this madcap murder mystery, the show ends with an audience vote on who they think “dunnit” and the plot is adjusted on the spot! Presented in partnership with the Historical Society, this family-friendly show is not to be missed.
